Disability Discrimination Act

Everyone who works in a public organisation needs to be aware of the role they have to play in providing services in a non-discriminating way and designing the delivery of these services to ensure equality of access. Workers also have rights and responsibilities as employees and as managers.

The course will cover changes to be introduced in October 2006.
This course is designed to:

  • Ensure that everyone has a clear understanding of what disability discrimination is and how it applies in the workplace
  • Examine disability discrimination in relation to services and service delivery
  • Consider the employment related aspects of disability discrimination
