August 2021 – Universal Credit uplift to end

The first communication was issued on the 23rd July notifying claimants how much of their standard allowance is a result of the temporary uplift that was provided in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Further communications with claimants will be sent over the summer via their statement and journal messages ahead of the uplift ending in the autumn, making it clear that it will no longer be included in their standard allowance. UC claimants will not receive notification by letter.
