July 2022 – Contributions towards Care and Support

New regulations have been issued in relation to the treatment of cost of living payments by local authorities in England in their assessment of the amounts individuals are required to contribute towards their care and support.

In force from 14 July 2022, the payments to be disregarded are:

The £650 payment, which is being made as a first payment of £326 to those who had a qualifying entitlement in respect of 25 May 2022, and a second payment of £324 to those with a qualifying entitlement in respect of the second qualifying day which is yet to be decided but which will not be later than 31 October 2022 and
